Coloring ideas for this drawing
- White icing on all seven, with the biscuit warmer beneath.
- A golden biscuit edge showing around each iced top.
- Or a different pastel per cookie, which is more fun.
Ghost cookies are made with a cutter, pressed out of rolled shortbread dough and then baked.
The trick is cold: dough rested in the fridge keeps its edges in the oven, while warm dough spreads and rounds everything off.
The icing goes on once they are completely cool, otherwise it runs straight off the sides. For patterns with no oven involved, the ghost covered in swirls.
