How to Print a Coloring Page
Every coloring page on Coloryla prints in about a minute, from a phone, a tablet or a computer, with no account and no software to install. This page covers the whole thing: the three steps, the paper and printer settings that actually make a difference, and how to get more pages out of one ink cartridge.
The three steps

Open the page and press Print
Every coloring page has a Print button at the top. It opens a clean print window containing the artwork alone, with no header, no menu and no ads, so nothing is wasted on the sheet. If you would rather keep the file, the Download PDF button next to it saves the drawing as a ready-to-print A4 sheet, already centred inside safe margins so your printer has nothing to guess.

Pick your paper
Standard A4 (210 × 297 mm) or US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) both work, and every page is drawn to suit either. Ordinary 80 gsm printer paper is fine for crayons and coloured pencils. If your child prefers felt-tip markers, use 120 gsm or heavier, otherwise the ink bleeds through and marks whatever is underneath.

Set Fit to page, then print
In the print dialog, choose Fit to page (sometimes called Scale to fit). Without it, printers often crop a few millimetres off the edges and cut into the outlines. Black and white is the right setting here: the pages are line art, so colour printing changes nothing and costs far more ink.
Getting more pages from one cartridge
Coloring pages are almost entirely white space, so they are cheap to print, but a few settings help further. Set the print quality to Draft or Economy: the outlines stay perfectly crisp because they are solid black lines, not photographs. Print in greyscale rather than colour so the printer never touches the colour cartridges. And if you are printing for a class, check whether your printer offers two pages per sheet, which halves the paper for older children who cope well with smaller designs.
Which colouring tools for which age
Thick wax crayons suit toddlers around 2 to 4: they are hard to break, need no pressure, and the chunky shape fits a whole fist. From 5 to 8, coloured pencils give more control for staying inside the lines without much mess. Felt-tip markers are best kept for 9 and up, on heavier paper, since they bleed and cannot be corrected. Watercolour pencils are a nice step up for children who have grown out of everything else.
Colouring on a screen instead
If you would rather not print at all, colour the drawing straight in your browser. The fill tool colours a whole area in one tap, which suits young children who find precise colouring frustrating, and nothing gets used up. Try a shade, undo it, try another, then print only the version you like.
Common printing questions
Why does my printed page have white borders?
Almost every home printer keeps an unprintable margin of a few millimetres on each edge. It is a hardware limit, not a setting. Fit to page keeps the whole design inside that safe area; borderless printing, if your printer offers it, removes the margin but slightly enlarges the image.
Can I print several coloring pages at once?
Print them one at a time from their own page, since each print window contains a single design. For a batch, download the PDFs first and print them together from your file manager or PDF reader.
Can I print these for a whole classroom?
Yes. Every page is free for personal and classroom use, in as many copies as you need. We only ask that you do not resell or redistribute the files commercially.
The page prints too small or off-centre, what do I do?
That is almost always the scaling setting. Make sure Fit to page is ticked and that the paper size in the dialog matches what is actually in the tray, A4 or Letter. A mismatch between the two is the usual cause of an off-centre print.
Can I download the coloring pages as PDF?
Yes. Every coloring page has a Download PDF button, and the file is free with no account needed. Each PDF holds one drawing on a single A4 page, centred inside printable margins, so it comes out the same way on any printer. It also opens on a phone or tablet, which makes it easy to send to a relative or to a school printer.
