These 69 drawings were picked out of our whole catalogue for one reason: they are genuinely easy to colour. Bold outlines a child can follow, large areas to fill, and no fiddly corners that need a sharpened pencil and a steady hand.
Every one of them is free to print, with no account and nothing to install. They come from all of our collections, so there are dinosaurs, Stitch and Hello Kitty side by side rather than one theme only.
How these were chosen
Not by counting shapes. We looked at all 232 drawings one at a time, because thickness of line matters as much as how many areas there are. Two pages can have the same number of areas and be worlds apart: one with a 12 pixel outline is fine for a four year old, the same page drawn at 4 pixels is not. Anything with dense foliage, fine textures or tiny gaps was left out even when the shape count looked reasonable.
Simplest of all, for toddlers and preschoolers
These 45 have the character alone on the page, with no background to work through. They are the ones to start with for a three or four year old, and the easiest to finish in one sitting.

Roughly three to seven, though it depends on the child. The ones in the toddler section above, with the character alone on a white page, suit the youngest. The rest add a simple background and work well from about five.

Why are some pages missing from this list?
Because they are not easy. A drawing with a fine outline, dense plants or a crowded scene is a frustrating first colouring page, so it stays in its collection rather than here.
