- Grey stone walls with a warmer brown on the door.
- Cobwebs left almost white, or the roof disappears under them.
- Orange pumpkins and green grass, the only colour down there.
A spider often rebuilds its web every day: it eats the old one before spinning a fresh one, which lets it recover the silk it has already made.
At that rate, a house left empty for a month ends up strung corner to corner, much like this one. The big shuttered house with bats circling above has fewer webs and more windows.
