- Straw yellow at every opening in the clothes.
- A red shirt and blue trousers, with the patches elsewhere.
- Brown furrows and green corn leaves either side.
A corn plant can pass two metres in a single summer, which makes a field an easy place to lose your bearings. Autumn mazes are cut straight into them with a harvester, following a plan drawn up before sowing. The less agricultural side of autumn is a ghost among the fallen leaves.
