The horse has one front hoof lifted and its mane and tail streaming behind, with a knight in a plumed helmet holding the reins and the princess seated behind him, tiara on and skirt spread across the flank. Three characters share this sheet and not one of them overlaps another, which is rarer than it sounds.
Knight, princess and horse can each take their own range without any of them muddying the others. The castle they are riding away from is a few pages back, and the quietest, most grown up portrait of the set is at the end.
